Adaptive Control of Cyclic Movements in a Multi-segment System
نویسندگان
چکیده
Partial body weight support (PBWS) during locomotion on a treadmill has been used to improve gait for persons with incomplete spinal cord injury (SCI). Combined therapy that uses functional neuromuscular stimulation (FNS) to assist in generating locomotor movements may lead to improvements in PBWS locomotor training. The effectiveness of this combined approach may strongly depend on the ability of the FNS system to control movements accurately and repeatably. In previous work, we developed the Pattern Generator/Patter Shaper (PG/PS) controller and demonstrated that it effectively controlled cyclic singlejoint movements. The objective of this study was to evaluate the ability of the PG/PS controller to control cyclic stepping-like movements in a multi-segment system. In these studies, the PG/PS control system automatically customized stimulation patterns to generate the desired cyclic movement, thus suggesting that it may be a useful component of a system for FNSassisted locomotor therapy in people with incomplete SC

Voltage-Base Control of Camera Stabilizer Using Optimal Adaptive Fuzzy Sliding Mode Control
The camera stabilizer stabilizes the camera’s line of sight by isolating the camera from the model uncertainties, disturbances of operating environment and system movements. This paper presents a voltage-base optimal adaptive fuzzy sliding mode control for camera stabilizer. In this proposed control method, a voltage-base sliding mode controller is applied. But unfortunately, undesirable ...
متن کاملDistributed Fuzzy Adaptive Sliding Mode Formation for Nonlinear Multi-quadrotor Systems
This paper suggests a decentralized adaptive sliding mode formation procedure for affine nonlinear multi-quadrotor under a fixed directed topology wherever the followers are conquered by dynamical uncertainties. Compared with the previous studies which primarily concentrated on linear single-input single-output (SISO) agents or nonlinear agents with constant control gain, the proposed method is...

This paper presents an online two-stage Q-learning based multi-agent (MA) controller for load frequency control (LFC) in an interconnected multi-area multi-source power system integrated with distributed energy resources (DERs). The proposed control strategy consists of two stages. The first stage is employed a PID controller which its parameters are designed using sine cosine optimization (SCO...
متن کاملAdaptive Distributed Consensus Control for a Class of Heterogeneous and Uncertain Nonlinear Multi-Agent Systems
This paper has been devoted to the design of a distributed consensus control for a class of uncertain nonlinear multi-agent systems in the strict-feedback form. The communication between the agents has been described by a directed graph. Radial-basis function neural networks have been used for the approximation of the uncertain and heterogeneous dynamics of the followers as well as the effect o...
متن کاملAdaptive Leader-Following and Leaderless Consensus of a Class of Nonlinear Systems Using Neural Networks
This paper deals with leader-following and leaderless consensus problems of high-order multi-input/multi-output (MIMO) multi-agent systems with unknown nonlinear dynamics in the presence of uncertain external disturbances. The agents may have different dynamics and communicate together under a directed graph. A distributed adaptive method is designed for both cases. The structures of the contro...
